When it comes to alcohol and injectables, as a health practitioner, I have to say, avoid drinking alcohol when getting cosmetic treatments. But I am also human and understand that won’t always happen.
When it comes to injectables don’t drink alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment. You will bruise. Alcohol has an anticoagulant effect, this means it thins your blood and increases your risk of bruising.
Alcohol is also not recommended for 24 hours after your injectables because it can bring on delayed bruising. So, for 24 hours before and after your appointment, perhaps have a lime and soda instead.
